We are writing as the Trustees of Haemochromatosis UK to provide reassurance regarding the continued stability and sound governance of the charity.

 

As you may be aware, the former Chief Executive Officer resigned from the charity at the end of July 2025. There are ongoing legal matters involving him which we are unable to comment further on at this time to respect the due process. We wish to emphasise that these proceedings do not affect the charity’s operations or financial soundness.

 

We are aware that you may hear speculation or rumours about these matters. We ask that you treat such information with great caution. The Trustees remain focused on ensuring the charity continues to serve its beneficiaries and community with transparency, professionalism and care.

 

Haemochromatosis UK remains in a strong and stable position, both financially and operationally. The charity continues to deliver its vital services, support, and research programmes without interruption. Our governance, management, and financial controls have been further strengthened in recent months, and we are confident in the charity’s health and direction.
