Most people with genetic haemochromatosis (GH) in Wales can be blood donors. Once registered, people GH can donate as often as every 2 weeks and do not need to be in maintenance to start.

This project follows the charity's advocacy over the past 18 months to improve access to donor services for people with GH. The project has recently been selected as a finalist in the Health Services Journal Awards as Acute Sector Innovation of the Year.
