All of us at Haemochromatosis UK want to extend a huge 'Congratulations' to Alma Morse, who is today being honoured with the prestigious British Citizen Award at the Palace of Westminster, for her outstanding contributions to society and more specifically, to the Haemochromatosis community.

Alma was a valued volunteer with us for many years. Following her time with Haemochromatosis UK, she helped to found and run the 'Haemochromatosis Family' Support Group on Facebook, providing much needed peer support to those affected by the condition. She works incredibly hard to ensure members of the group, whether they are newly diagnosed or further along in their journey, feel safe, reassured and heard.

What an incredible achievement, Alma, and very well deserved. Thank you for all you do for those affected by Genetic Haemochromatosis.
