The Fyvie Community Choir of Aberdeenshire raised £1700.57 at their Christmas concert in 2024 for Haemochromatosis UK!

The generous total was raised in memory of Miranda McHardy, Aberdeenshire resident who died suddenly in 2023 from a delayed diagnosis of GH, aged just 59.

Miranda’s tragic death sparked a HUK screening initiative in collaboration with Scottish volunteers, our Friends Against Iron Overload, and other supporters, including Miranda’s family and friends. Over 25,000 households across Aberdeenshire were reached to offer a free genetic health check by post.

The money raised by the Fyvie Community Choir’s Christmas concert is another example of the community coming together to help others with haemochromatosis.

We thank you, Fyvie Community Choir for your support and to all those who donated!  #togetherwe'restronger
