Lincolnshire Research Project Starts Up Haemochromatosis UK has recently secured a grant from the Lincolnshire Voluntary Engagement Team (LVET) to report on care pathways for people across this, the UK's 2nd largest non-metropolitan county. In collaboration with University of Lincoln, HUK will be exploring NHS services for people with GH across the county.Specifically, the study will examine standards of care for people with GH living in Lincolnshire, including ease of access to genetic testing and availability of blood donation services.As part of the project, research Maureen Ng'etich from University of Manchester will be surveying Lincolnshire-based people with GH for their views. This will be dropping into inboxes in the coming days - look out for it!This project has received the backing of Sir John Hayes CBE MP, Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on GH and local constituency MP for South Holland & The Deepings where our office is based.We thank LVET for their support and look forward to sharing the findings of the project in the Autumn.
