On Friday 28th Feb Haemochromatosis UK nurse Vik, went to the Royal Holloway University in Surrey to raise awareness of rare diseases.

The day is aimed at introducing GCSE & A-level students to rare diseases, to inspire them to consider a career in this area of science, medicine and genetics.

“the enthusiasm shown by these young students gives me such a lift. Sharing the view that early diagnosis saves lives and explaining how people with GH can be blood donors, for example, can really captivate their interest and understanding” Vik
