Most people with genetic haemochromatosis (GH) living in Scotland can be blood donors, subject to the usual donor eligibility criteria.  This informal presentation by SNBTS explains their support for GH donors living in Scotland. This session, led by Dr Lorna McLintock, Medical Director, SNBTS with colleagues, covers :

  • What are the main donor criteria in Scotland for people with GH? How do these differ from other people?
  • What are the key eligibility criteria that apply to all donors, for recipient safety?
  • How to register as a GH donor in Scotland?
