Shortlisted in 2024 Nursing Times Awards We're thrilled to have been shortlisted in the 2024 Nursing Times Awards in the public health category. This follows our shortlisting for two Third Sector Awards in July. We've been shortlisted in recognition of the success of our nurse-led genetic screening, genetic counselling and education programmes. It's a tremendous validation of all the good work delivered by Vik and Digio, our specialist "Iron Nurses". Uniquely, Haemochromatosis UK is the only charity to have been shortlisted in 2024. The awards bring together the nursing community to shine a light on the brightest talent in the profession and recognise those making nursing innovative, patient-focused and inclusive. Our 'Iron Nurses' provide services to improve Public Health through significant contribution to research, community genetic testing projects , public awareness raising, direct support for families affected and educating healthcare professionals (doctors, consultants, pharmacists and other nurses). The winners will be announced at a star-studded gala awards show in London later this year. Fingers crossed - and good luck to all the entrants! Manage Cookie Preferences
