The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Genetic Haemochromatosis met at Westminster on 12th November 2024. This was the first meeting following the call of the 2024 General Election, at which all APPGs are dissolved.

The meeting enjoyed a presentation by Professor Jim Flett Wilson, Professor of Human Genetics, University of Edinburgh on a recent HUK-funded study researching the prevalence of GH across the UK & Ireland. 

Haemochromatosis UK has recently funded a new research project to create an almanac of GH prevalence across the UK & Ireland & to screen Scottish participants in the Viking Genes Project for GH.
